Writing

Over the last 25 years, I've done a lot of writing that still haunts the recesses of the internet. Here's a sample.

Books

Digital Accessibility Ethics (Routledge, 2026)

Lainey Feingold, Reginé Gilbert, Chancey Fleet, eds.

I wrote a chapter titled "Burnout Is an Accessibility Ethics Issue" for this compilation book.

Assurance qualité web : 3e édition (Éditions Eyrolles, 2021)

Élie Sloïm, Laurent Denis

I was invited to write the foreword for this French book on quality assurance.

Adobe Inclusive Design Workshop (2020)

Between February 2019 and January 2020, I built (with the support of some accessibility and inclusion luminaries) and delivered this workshop. In all, I ran that workshop over a dozen times over three continents, giving every Adobe Design employee an introduction to inclusive design and product equity.

Universal Design for Web Applications (O'Reilly, 2008)

Co-authored this with Wendy Chisholm. We explored both work processes and techniques for making web content that's both accessible and mobile-friendly.

Short-form

I am doing most of my writing in my newsletter, Practical Tips. You can sign up to get the latest and greatest. Here are a few select posts:
